Baillie Gifford's Managed Investment Trusts

You can become a shareholder in one or more of Baillie Gifford's managed investment trusts by investing through our Share Plan, ISA and Children’s Savings Plan. We currently manage eight investment trusts that cover general, international and specialist markets. Please remember that the value of shares can go down as well as up and you may not get back the amount you invested.

The objectives of the five global investment trusts are below:

Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust PLC Scottish Mortgage is a low cost investment trust that aims to maximise total returns from a focused and actively managed portfolio. It invests globally, looking for strong businesses with above-average returns.  

The Monks Investment Trust PLC
Monks is a large generalist trust that invests internationally. It favours capital growth over income and dividends, and is an easy way to gain exposure to global markets.  

Scottish American Investment Company P.L.C.
SAINTS offers a diversified portfolio that aims to balance income with capital growth, combined with a progressive dividend policy. The Trust invests in a broad range of UK and international assets.  

Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc
EWIT aims to achieve capital growth from a concentrated global portfolio.  

Mid Wynd International Investment Trust
Aims to achieve both capital and income growth by investing on a worldwide basis.
