Ask the Manager - Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust

Transcript (pdf)

Do you have a question about Scottish Mortgage that you would like to ask the manager, James Anderson?

In his next webcast, which coincides with the publication of the 2010/11 Annual Report, James will answer questions from shareholders and potential shareholders. We would like to encourage as broad a range of questions as possible – these might be about the existing investments and strategy or broader questions about the approach taken.

Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust PLC was launched in 1909 as the Straits Mortgage and Trust Company and has been managed by Baillie Gifford & Co since then.  Today it is one of the largest UK investment trusts, and invests globally, looking for strong businesses with above-average returns. Visit the Scottish Mortgage pages on Baillie Gifford’s website for more information.

To submit your question, please complete the question submission form, and selected and representative questions will be put to James in the webcast. This will be broadcast on Trust Online in May or shortly thereafter.

The value of a stock market investment and any income from it can fall as well as rise and investors may not get back the amount invested. Investments with exposure to overseas securities can be affected by changing stock market conditions and currency exchange rates and these may cause the value of an investment to go down or up.
