Edinburgh International Book Festival Children's Events

Edinburgh International Book Festival is the world’s largest public celebration of the written word - with over 700 author events, debates and workshops - all packed into 17 days in August.

Baillie Gifford is delighted to be sponsoring two events for children, which are outlined below:

KATIE MORAG WITH MAIRI HEDDERWICK - SUNDAY 15 AUGUST - 10.00 AM (AGE 5-8)
Author Mairi Hedderwick travels from a faraway island to bring Katie Morag’s magical Hebridean life to Edinburgh. What can we expect? A few tales of mischievous behaviour and cheeky happenings!

JACQUELINE WILSON – SUNDAY 22 AUGUST – 10.00AM (AGE 9-11)
This is the perfect occasion to meet a much-loved bestselling author as she talks about some of her exciting creations. How does she come up with her great characters? Discover more and seize the chance to ask some questions. Please note: the book signing after this event will be limited to a selected number of ticket holders, chosen from a draw.
