Sponsorship
Baillie Gifford investment trusts sponsor book festivals up and down the country. Great literature requires hard work, diligence, learning insight and intelligence, qualities we at Baillie Gifford strive to bring to investment.
We see a strong similarity between those people who attend book festivals and those who invest in investment trusts such as the ones we manage.
In our own small way we are publishers too. We produce a magazine called Trust three times a year - this site is the online version of Trust. We use our sponsorship of book festivals to recruit more subscribers for Trust magazine who by engaging with its investment views might then be sufficiently encouraged to invest in our range of investment trusts.
We sponsor events with a financial theme at the festivals, and we offer our customers and Trust subscribers free tickets to these events (while stocks last). In addition, we run various festival related competitions on Trust Online, in Trust magazine and at each of the festivals. The highlight of our sponsorship programme is the Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust Book Awards, which is presented at the Edinburgh International Book Festival to Scottish authors across a variety of literary disciplines.
To order a copy of Trust and subscribe to our email newsletter, which includes news of all our literary festival sponsorship, promotions and ticket offers, please sign up here.
